The Tenebra battery powered garden pendant light by Jan Van Lierde for Contardi Lighting is the first rechargeable IP65 battery suspension lamp in the Contardi outdoor collection.

There are two versions of the Tenebra light to choose from, firstly as a simple spotlight without a diffuser, or secondly as a spotlight with a Tenebra Crystal diffuser in “synthetic crystal” in three finishes adding colour and three-dimensionality to the light.

The metal frame can be selected in three different lacquer finishes; matt black, rose gold or silver. The light is switched on and off by pressure on the tube and supplied with several accessories as well as a steel cable which can be "hooked" and installed in a wide variety of contexts, from a tree branch to a pergola, or in an outdoor tent.

With a battery life of up to 7 to 8 hours, Tenebra can be recharged through a USB type-C port commonly used for the latest generation of smartphones and tablets. The full charging time is 5 to 6 hours.
